Do I divide \[x(^3 + 3x^2 -2A + 3) \] by \[(x^2 + 1)\] to obtain a remainder of \[-x(1 + 2a)\]

OpenStudy (triciaal):

do you happen to have the answer is A = -3?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

Please note that, the remainder of your division is: \[ - x(1 + 2A)\]. So you have to solvethis equation: \[1+2A=5\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes @triciaal

Thanks @Michele_Laino

OpenStudy (triciaal):

do you still need this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That was the answer :) I just wanted to know if I was using the right formula

OpenStudy (triciaal):

ok keep practicing
