i found the slope i just need help finding the y intercept please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

−2 −2 2 10 6 22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the left side is x axis and right is the y axis

hartnn (hartnn):

so use the slope intercept form \(\large y =mx+c\) you found out m = slope you just need c

hartnn (hartnn):

plug in any one point from the 3 given say x=2, y=10 in that equation :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is c exactly? and how do i find it?

hartnn (hartnn):

c is the y-intercept of the line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so then my equation is 10 = (3)2 + c then i try to bring c to one side?

hartnn (hartnn):

plug everything you know in y = mx+c x=2, y=10 m = you already found out the only unknown is c :)

hartnn (hartnn):

and yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so 10 = (3)2 + c 10 = 6 + c -6 -6 4 = c so y intercept is 4

hartnn (hartnn):

\(\huge \checkmark \)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you i really appreciate your help and i really needed it and also thanks for the formula now i gotta make sure i write it in my notes

hartnn (hartnn):

shure, please do :) its really important!
