an onomatopoeia is when a word makes its sound.. like sizzle when something is sizzling it sounds like sizzle or boom crash bang, things like that. i dont see any of those in that poem..

the first definition didnt work very well but an onomatopoeia is a noun according to dictionary.com not a verb. Onomatopoeia-the formation of a word, as cuckoo, meow, honk, or boom, by imitation of a sound made by or associated with its referent.
