Help!! Which of the following is the maximum value of the equation y=-2x^2-3x+4 a. 5 1/8 b. 1 3/4 c. - 3/4 d. 5/8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

max is found at the second coordinate of the vertex the first coordinate of the vertex of \(y=ax^2+bx+c\) is \(-\frac{b}{2a}\) the second coordinate is what you get when you plug in the first coordinate

OpenStudy (omgthatgirl):

This is how i tried working it out |dw:1423522761624:dw|
