Find the Limit of the natural log of x+2 as x approaches -2 from the right?

OpenStudy (tylerd):

ln(x) as x approaches 0 from the right is negative infinity i think..

OpenStudy (tylerd):

graph ln(x) and see where the asymptote is

OpenStudy (diamondboy):

How?

OpenStudy (diamondboy):

k

OpenStudy (misty1212):

it is identical to \[y=\ln(x)\] only shifted to the left 2 units

OpenStudy (misty1212):

so yeah \(-\infty\)

OpenStudy (diamondboy):

Oh....that makes sense @misty1212

OpenStudy (diamondboy):

so the answer is negative infinity?

OpenStudy (tylerd):

when you approach negative 2 from the right you get a number thats slightly more then -2. so -1.999999+2 = 0.000000000000001 get the point here? its negative inifity

OpenStudy (diamondboy):

yeah... thank you @TylerD and @misty1212
