Which additional word in the sentence should be capitalized? F. Scott Fitzgerald was a famous writer of the Jazz age. A. Famous B. Age C. Was D. Writer
What do you think first of all?
When you are calling someone a famous something, would you capitalize famous?
Is famous a name of something?
i thot a but it dosent matter he already said it so you might think i am lieing
Actually A is wrong
Because "famous writer" (or something else) doesn't need to be capitalized because it is not a person, name of a thing, such as an era, band, etc.
o
A thing would actually have to be named "famous" for it to be capitalized
so d
Hmm, no. Is something actually named "writer"?
because it is a person
Besides a book, ofc
But it isnt a name of a person. It is stating what the person is, aka a famous writer
hmmm
so age or was
Would "was" be capitalized at all anywhere?
Unless if it a name of a book, which in this case it isnt.
i guessing age because was does not need to be capital
Correct. When naming different Ages and eras, time periods, you capitalize everything, because it is the name of that era, age, or time period
So "Jazz age" should be "Jazz Age"
thx brofist
