A. we; indirect object B. us; direct object C. we; direct object D. us; indirect object
A and B? @EclipsedStar @inowalst @Tjbrew
I agree with you, those are correct! Both sentences include direct objects. :)
In this case you are right it is "me" but not the indirect object.
First one should be D.
@Tjbrew i said a and b :p both direct
opps thought it said direct :o
@Tjbrew why do you think it's "me"? :o
Dad asked Joe and "\(I\)".... I believe @PizzaLover123 is correct there.
@EclipsedStar because Dad asked Joe and Dad asked me NOT Dad asked I :)
@EclipsedStar I thought it would be A :]
a and b
Well it mentions "and".
Joe and I. :)
Not "Joe and me"
I am telling you for the first one Joe and I is wrong...
Would you say Dad asked I to help put away the dishes.
Lol then let's hear @King.Void. 's opinion.
No you wouldn't you would sway Dad asked me to help put away the dishes.
Yes, that would be correct, \(but\) there is another person included in the sentence. :)
The second one is D.
Correction the second one is B. Sorry
@King.Void. please clarify this, I'm not the best at explaining XD
No direct answers @Tjbrew
You think I am O.o
B/c is is functioning as the direct object to the preposition "To"
@King.Void I know they have been going back and forth and I felt that PizzaLover123 is getting confused.
Okay. I'll write them out. Dad asked Joe and I to help put away the dishes. or Dad asked Joe and me to help put away the dishes.
Still it doesn't mean you give out the answer.
@King.Void. Got it!
Direct answers are trouble..
So what's your opinion King? "I" or "me" in the sentence?
First of all...There should be 1 question in this box not two... What one am I looking at??
Dad asked Joe and I to help put away the dishes. or Dad asked Joe and me to help put away the dishes. Lolz :3
@EclipsedStar you have to use the objective form because it is in the predicate. You can't use the subjective form of 'I' in the predicate part of the sentence,
Lol @confluxepic will know this one. He's also a genius at this.
@Conqueror :P
Good luck!
^
This is kinda tough :P My knowledge is leaving my brain because I am hungry :P
@pooja195
Aww Conflux left... XD
I'm a genius at what. :) @EclipsedStar
Dad asked Joe and I to help put away the dishes. or Dad asked Joe and me to help put away the dishes.
When I was small I always used to use "me" but my english teacher told me that I have to use "I" to make it grammatically correct.
Let me try to find an article that can help explain it.

@Tjbrew
Oh ok :)
Thanks ConfluxEpic! :)
No problem.
When there is a command type of sentence that includes asked or told then the use of "me" comes in handy.
Say it out loud and you can figure it out.
