m (4,5) p (6,4) o (7,2) what are the side lengths of the triangle?
@Wolfgirl12
have you tried graphing this?
or can u explain how to do it and yes its graphed thats how i got the cordinates.
its on geogebra though so i cannot show the graph
here read this website real quick http://www.teacherschoice.com.au/maths_library/trigonometry/triangle_given_3_points.htm
thank you @Wolfgirl12
|dw:1423703498963:dw| \(\bf \textit{distance between 2 points}\\ \quad \\ \begin{array}{lllll} &x_1&y_1&x_2&y_2\\ m&({\color{red}{ 4}}\quad ,&{\color{blue}{ 5}})\quad p&({\color{red}{ 6}}\quad ,&{\color{blue}{ 4}})\\ p&({\color{red}{ 6}}\quad ,&{\color{blue}{ 4}})\quad o&({\color{red}{ 7}}\quad ,&{\color{blue}{ 2}})\\ o&({\color{red}{ 7}}\quad ,&{\color{blue}{ 2}})\quad m&({\color{red}{ 4}}\quad ,&{\color{blue}{ 5}}) \end{array}\qquad d = \sqrt{({\color{red}{ x_2}}-{\color{red}{ x_1}})^2 + ({\color{blue}{ y_2}}-{\color{blue}{ y_1}})^2}\)
distance between both points, would be the length of the side
thanks jdoe

@jdoe0001 what kind of triangle would this be classified as?
hmm dunno.... what did you get for the sides length?
mp= 5 po=29 om=26
a scalene triangle has 3 equal sides, and 3 equal angles with 60 degree measurements. an isosceles triangle has 2 equal sides and 2 equal angles. and a scalene triangle has no equal sides or angles. so which one do you think it is?
scalene
yep
ahemm yes scalene note: an equilateral triangle has 3 equal sides,
i knew she meant eqaulateral just a typo
:)
ya sorry lol
