Movement of heat in the earth's mantle occurs due to radiation conduction convection currents superheated air @AMYCARTER
hmmm I think radiation but again I'm not sure @Dkace what do you think?
I don't believe it would be radiation. I believe we can eliminate D superheated air because that gives no explanation to as how it moves just what it is. I believe we can also eliminate conduction, I don't think that you could conduct heat through that much rock and still have it go very far.\ Where as Mantle Convection essentially carry's heat from the interior of the earth to the surface with the earths mantle slowly moving.
If we look at thermal radiation it is one of the mechanisms of heat transfer but I just don't see it fitting since it usually is more involved in the EM spectrum.
it is the mantle
is it convection current because convection current is the transfer of heat by the mass movement of heated particles into an area of cooler fluid.
I agree with @AMYCARTER as I put eliminations for why all of the rest do not make much sense to me.
so its c final answer?
yes i think so @geny55 that's the only one tht makes sense
Yea convection current good job @AMYCARTER @Dkace
ok :)
this article may help http://diviner.ucla.edu/mercury/posters/Poster-12/poster-12.html it's saying the same thing as a lot of people: convection or conduction
