OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the slope and what is the y-intercept of the line y=1/2x-5 ? slope = ---- ? y intercept= ?

OpenStudy (zale101):

In the slope intercept form of equation y=mx+b The slope represents=? The y-intercept represents = ?

OpenStudy (zale101):

@MarshallEatsFood you have any ideas of what i'm trying to imply?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would the slope me 2/5 and the y intercept be -1?

OpenStudy (zale101):

How?

OpenStudy (zale101):

y=mx+b slope is m and y-intercept is b what equation are you looking at? If the slope is 2/5 and the y intercept is -1 then the equation would be \(y=\frac{2}{5}x-1\)

OpenStudy (zale101):

\(y=\frac{2}{5}x-1\) is not the same as \(y=\frac{1}{2}x-5\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but if the slope is m how do i find m?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Zale101

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iambatman ur my onli h0pe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = mx + b slope is represented by m in this equation and b is the y - intercept.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OMFG I JUST DONT GET ANY OF THIS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I KNOW I SOUND STUPID RIGHT NOW BUT I NEED NUMBERS NOT LETTERS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

;-; *crying irl*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lets say, you have y = 2/3x+5, 2/3 is your slope, and 5 is your y - intercept haha, easy as that :)

WOT
