OpenStudy (archtangent):

i need to explain an article, and i saw this line "In most experiments, a weak rectangular current pulse of 700msec duration was passed through...." i searched for current pulse generator and it said it acts like stimulus when applied to devices under test.. but i am not sure about what that 700msec means? anyone?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 msec is 1/1000 seconds. So it is 700/1000 seconds or .7 seconds

OpenStudy (archtangent):

yes, got that figured... maybe ill stick to the word 'weak rectangular current pulse' as a vague quantity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well a weak rectangular current pulse is not a quantity, so I wouldnt use it in place of one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a pulse is a short burst, so a weak rectangular pulse means that the amplitude is small (hence weak) and the pulse maintains the rectangular shape for 700msec. |dw:1423833703979:dw|
