Which process can be described as two cell divisions, genetic variation, and haploid cells? meiosis mitosis binary fission fertilization I think is meiosis. Correct me if im wrong
are you sure?
Mitosis is a part of the cell cycle process by which chromosomes in a cell nucleus are separated into two identical sets of chromosomes, each in its own nucleus.
Meiosis i/maɪˈoʊsɨs/ is a specialized type of cell division which reduces the chromosome number by half. This process occurs in all sexually reproducing eukaryotes (both single-celled and multicellular) including animals, plants, and fungi.

yeah
i would say mitosis
@Destinymasha what will you say? motosis or metiosis?
you where wrong
AlexandervonHumboldt2
Meiosis 1 cell divides into 2 cells then these 2 cells divide into 2 more so- its two cell divisions In meiosis there is genetic variation due to chromosomal cross-over & exchange of genetic material between homologous chromosomes 1 cell thats has originally 46 chromosomes/ 2n set of chromosomes/ diploid number of chromosomes DNA replication takes place which duplicates number of chromosomes from 46 to 92 then First division starts 2 daughter cells are formed each have 46 chromosomes then Second division starts (DNA replication DOES NOT HAPPEN before second division) 2 daughter cells having 46 chromosomes each divide into 2 daughter cells each & having half (23) the original (46) number of chromosomes End of meiosis: 4 daughters cells each having 23 chromosomes/ 1n chromosomes/ haploid number of chromosomes
so you are right it is indeed meiosis as you thought.
