Three vertices of a rectangle are given. Find the coordinates of the fourth vertex. (–2, 4), (4, 0), (2, –3) A. (–4, –1) B. (–4, 0) C. (–4, 1) D. (–4, 2) @chosenmatt

What do you think the answer is and why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be easy to do this if you use a coordinate plane and put the given vertices on.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i was doing it on a coordinate plane but what ever i tried didnt work so i dont have a guess really

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I will use the program GeoGebra to help with this, give me a second

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, I put all the coordinates (answers and given) into geogebra and the only reasonable coordinate that fully created a rectangle was (-4, 1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you

Here's the picture for reference

And you're very welcome :)
