Write this numeral in scientific notation. To indicate the exponent, Example: 5.2 x 10^3 541

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK, to convert the number to scientific notation, you want to put the decimal point after the first non-digit zero and multiply 10 to the power by the number of digits the decimal has to move back.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you move to the right that is positive, if you move to the left that is negative.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so where would i put the decimal point?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

please you have to write your number in this form: \[541 = 5.41 \cdot {10^n}\] what is n?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not sure, im sorry. math is my worst subject

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (michele_laino):
