Above are two different models of the same triangle. If the area of the model on the left is 24 sq cm, what is the area of the model on the right? 120 sq cm 26.5 sq cm 48 sq cm 96 sq cm @mathman1988

Here is pic of bigger: https://app125.studyisland.com/pics/252368num5.png 1 cm= 2.5 ft

Here is pic of little: https://app125.studyisland.com/pics/252368num5.png 1 cm=5 ft

Well, the smaller triangle is 1 cm equals 5 ft. vs the one on the right, 2.5 ft. So the one on the left is going to be twice as big

The pictures are deceiving, you need to pay attention to the proportions. :) Did that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem :)

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

u need to think 1 cm= 5 ft so 1 sq cm = 25 ft so for the triangle on left u would get 600 ft now transfer the opposite 1 cm= 2.5 1 sq cm=6.25 so 600/6.25 =96 :)
