Question on circles. Thanks for any help.

OpenStudy (nevermind_justschool):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (igreen):

Just plug in the radius into the perimeter of a circle formula. \(P = 2 \pi r\) \(P = 2 (3.14) (2)\) Simplify that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

perimeter of this one is = 2r + length of arc

OpenStudy (igreen):

After we find this, then we can divide by 4.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

igreen's idea is much simplier. ^_^

OpenStudy (nevermind_justschool):

I got 3.14 again...

OpenStudy (igreen):

That's not right.. \(2 \times 3.14 \times 2 =~?\)

OpenStudy (nevermind_justschool):

12.56

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yes, now divide by 4

OpenStudy (igreen):

Lol, yeah..3.14 :P

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yes, rounding will give us 3.1, so that's your answer.

OpenStudy (nevermind_justschool):

Thanks! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iGreen , i think you're wrong on this one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iGreen , you only gave the length of the arc on this one... so the total perimeter of this figure is P= 2r+length of arc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

still there @nevermind_justschool ?
