Which would make an effective thesis for an essay on the cause of the French Revolution? Conflict between the people and the French monarchy sparked revolution. The guillotine was an effective instrument for instilling fear and conflict. The Jacobins sought to overturn the French monarchy. The French Revolution started on Bastille Day, July 14, 1789. The cry “Let them eat cake!” initiated the Revolution.

I had this question before, so my answer is A. It shows the cause of the French Revolution. It didn't start because of the guillotine (which was later implemented), or the Jacobins, or the day, or what one lady said. It started because of a conflict.

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

I don't think it's E. @williams01

OpenStudy values the Learning process - not the 'Give you an answer' process. Don't post only answers - guide the asker to a solution. http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

The keyword here is guide.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, Sorry then... It is just that I specifically asked a mod if it was alright :/

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

It's okay. Almost everybody on OpenStudy did it.

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

If there is no way to guide the asker then do what you think is right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^ Okay thanks :)
