OpenStudy (bohotness):

A triangle has one side that measures 5 ft, one side that measures 6 ft, and one side that measures 9 ft. What kind of triangle is it? scalene triangle right triangle equilateral triangle isosceles triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we know it's not b or c

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

right. you can use the pythag. theorem to prove it wrong

OpenStudy (bohotness):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer I think is D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It cant be D, isosceles is when 2 sides are equal

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

@XainSG , please try to refrain from providing answers right off the bat. Thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not that is what I thought it was -_-

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

right. Since the sides are not equal (and you can prove this using law of sines simple rules), you can conclude that this forms a scalene triangle. since all the sides aren't equal

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

@XainSG it doesn't matter what you think it is; you have to let the user figure out the answer for themselves. as for you @bohotness , i hopes this makes sense! :)
