Okay, in my notes it says that to find the area of a circle you do this: A= 3.14 * r (to the second power) And then to find the area of a semicircle you just divide it be 2 So 3.14 * 9(to the second)= 254.34/2= 127.17 Is that right?

No, that's not right. The 'r' in the formula for the area of the circle is the radius of the circle, not the diameter. You have to find the radius of the protractor, first.
