OpenStudy (anonymous):

I saw this before. thanks though :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tan is equal to -5/12

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

you just said -5/13 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry it was a typo

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

I also meant like what is tan equal to in relationship to the sides. Is it Opposite over hypotenuse? adjacent over hypotenuse? opposite over adjacent?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

opposite over adjacent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you have to draw a right triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i found the hypotenuse and I got -5/13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as the final answer

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

I'm stuck, one sec @Jamierox4ev3r @sleepyjess help me out? :P

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

aye this was forever ago... i literally don't remember v.v

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

|dw:1424828672466:dw| So if we solve for x we get the hypotenuse

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

|dw:1424828748610:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's fine, I got it, thank you though!

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

And so since Cos has to be positive it doesn't make a difference because if cos is + then sin can be - or +

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I made a story board for ya! Remember, "All Students Take Calculus"! Regards
