Suppose y varies directly with x, and y =10 when x = -3. What direct variation equation related x and y? What is the value of y when x=-1? A) y= -3/10 x; 3/10 B) y= 1/10 x; -3/10 C) y= 10/3 x; -10/3 D) y= 10/3 x; 10/3

Nnesha (nnesha):

equation for direct variation is .......?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

O_O, teach it to me ?

Nnesha (nnesha):

isn't that on your notes ??

Nnesha (nnesha):

lO_Ok at n ur previous post....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what does the other post have to do with this one ?

Nnesha (nnesha):

direct variation same q i gave u the equation for direct variation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so B ?

Nnesha (nnesha):

how did u get B ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, it looks most like the question and so did the other one

Nnesha (nnesha):

what is the equation for direct variation ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = -5/3x

Nnesha (nnesha):

http://prntscr.com/69yte4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh gots it

Nnesha (nnesha):

yes equation for direct variation is y = kx replace x and y by their values y = 10 and x = -3 then solve for k like wer did on previous post

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be A because the answer was .3 ?

Nnesha (nnesha):

nope

Nnesha (nnesha):

btw look at ur answer chocies are you sure u they are right ??

Nnesha (nnesha):

choices* ignore u

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u mean the choices might be wrong ?
