In what way was Harriet Beecher Stowe's book Uncle Tom's Cabin so important to the abolition movement? It exposed the evils and cruelty of slavery. It called for the emancipation of all slaves. It led to a massive slave revolt in the South. It led to the development of the Underground Railroad.

It did do C. because if it did, there would be no civil war. And the underground railroad was around before this. Uncle Tom's cabin told northerners about slavery, and the people up north, the revolted. That is why Harriet Beecher Stowe is considered to be the start of the civil war
