What is the equation of the function y=6/x translated 5 units to the left and 4 units up?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Hi @KatieBear To translate any function, I'd like to remind you of the rules for translating: to translate vertically: y=f(x)+d --> vetical translation up y=f(x)+d --> vertical translation down (The d represents how many units you have to shift) to translate horizontally: y=(fx-c) --> horizontal shift right y=(fx+c) --> horizontal shift left (again, the the d represents how many units you have to shift)

So would that be y=(6/x+5)+4?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

does that make sense? @KatieBear
