The Soul selects her own Society by Emily wingspaninson (excerpt) The Soul selects her own Society— Then—shuts the Door— To her divine Majority— Present no more— Unmoved—she notes the Chariots—pausing— At her low Gate— Unmoved—an Emperor be kneeling Upon her Mat— I've known her—from an ample nation— Choose One— Then—close the Valves of her attention— Like Stone—

I can't see most of the letters.

metaphor or symbol?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would cross out simile and metaphor because both are trying to compare two things, a simile using like or as, and a metaphor using verbs.

I would assume the answer is symbol because an onomatopoeia is words describing sound, and I don't see any of those in this poem. Idk if I'm right but that's my best guess. Hope that helps :)

thanks!

its metaphor
