Forty-five is 20% of what number?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

45 = 20% ? = 100% So how do we get from 20 to 100? We would multiply by 5 right? :) So simply multiply 45 by 5 to get the original number ^_^ [Note: 100 % is the original number]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

never mind

OpenStudy (anonymous):

225?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

.20 times 45 =9

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

yep :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea i am correct!

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

it's not 9 guys..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

.20 is 20% in decimal form but you could put either in the calculator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

20% x 5= 100% therefore you would do 45 x 5 =?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

45 * 5 is 225

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no @AutumnRoseT because 45*5 would be 225 and that larger than 45 so it doesn't make sense
