jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ok let's try to factor 169 - 26y + y^2 that's really the same as y^2 - 26y + 169 find two numbers that multiply to 169 AND add to -26 those two numbers are _____ and _____ what goes in the blanks?

OpenStudy (deadpoolroxz):

yeah soryy do u have any other question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay i can help her

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In order to know if the equation is a perfect square trinomial, please look at the "b" first ax^2+bx+c=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if c = (b/2)^2 then, your equation is a perfect square trinomial, If not, then it's not a PST

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's C :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let's try D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b=10 , c= 25 --> C=(b/2)^2 --> 25=(10/2)^2 --> 25= 5^2 --> 25=25 D is a perfect square trinomial

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks so C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah.
