I NEED HELP!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

write an equation for the translation of y= 2/x that has the given asymptotes. x=0 and y=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it already has a vertical asymptote at \(x=0\) because the denominator is \(x\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you want a horizontal asymptote at \(y=4\) you have to make the numerator \(4x\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait that doesn't work does it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you could make it \[\frac{4x+2}{x}\] that would work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yw btw what is the same as \[\frac{2}{x}+4\] which is probably what they mean by "translation"
