Pls HALP!!! MEDAL! Is it B or D? Which sentence does not contain any punctuation errors? A. Please put on your pajamas. it's time for bed. B. Please put on your pajamas, it's time for bed. C. Please put on your pajamas it's time for bed. D. Please put on your pajamas; it's time for bed.

OpenStudy (inowalst):

Well A would be correct if "its" was capitalized, however, we are looking for punctuation so A would be correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, I meant B or D

OpenStudy (inowalst):

-.- Now it looks like I gave out an answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oops. Wait, so your actually still saying it's A?

OpenStudy (inowalst):

Yes. Because you had said A or C, but yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh.....okay. I guess that could make sense! THANK YOU!

OpenStudy (inowalst):

However..

OpenStudy (kaylieanime):

It's asking for punctuation, not capitalization

OpenStudy (inowalst):

C and D are obviously wrong.

OpenStudy (inowalst):

Leaving A and B.

OpenStudy (inowalst):

When I think of it now, A doesn't seem correct because there's a pause, so I'm between A and B. @EclipsedStar What do you think?

OpenStudy (kaylieanime):

Why not D? I see nothing wrong with it. A semicolon connects 2 sentences together to make the statements clearer.

OpenStudy (kaylieanime):

They're relevent to each other

OpenStudy (inowalst):

I dont know.

OpenStudy (kaylieanime):

With a semicolon there's no need for capitalization (unless it starts with a proper noun)

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

A is incorrect.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah!!!! My head hurts. I'm just gonna put A. Thank you @inowalst, @KaylieAnime, and @EclipsedStar!

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

A is wrong....

OpenStudy (inowalst):

Yeah.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh.........um.....okay? D I guess?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My brain cells just died.........

OpenStudy (inowalst):

I'd say B...

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

B is correct.

OpenStudy (inowalst):

^

\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @KaylieAnime It's asking for punctuation, not capitalization \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) In punctuation, capitalization is included, ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh. I see. I'm a writer and that's how I would write the sentence. It just makes sense.

OpenStudy (kaylieanime):

@EclipsedStar In any of the "it's", there are no capitalization. Yes, capitalization is part of punctuation but unless there's that option then we are not looking for that. We make do with what we have, unless there was a typo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its B and you guys call yourselves grammar police you guys arnt that good

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Please don't make assumptions. I had stated my opinion earlier in this post. :)
