Explain how bias in the survey might have affected the results. A survey of residents in a wealthy part of town asks whether the government should provide more low-income housing for the town’s residents. A. The question in the survey is biased against government help for low-income residents. B. The question in the survey is biased against wealthy residents. C. Surveying only residents in a wealthy part of town means the sampling was not random and must be biased. D. Surveying only residents in a wealthy part of town gives a sample that is not representative of the entire town.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think the answer is A

OpenStudy (welshfella):

to be honest i'm not sure. I think it might be C. The sample cannot be random if they only ask wealthy residents. or possibly D I really dont know for sure.

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

Bias means it is in the favor of something like going to a baseball game and asking the people there if they prefer baseball or soccer. Of course they're gonna say baseball :)
