MEDAAALL!! A simple random sample of 50 adults was surveyed, and it was found that the mean amount of time that they spend surfing the Internet per day is 54.2 minutes, with a standard deviation of 14.0 minutes. What is the 99% confidence interval for the number of minutes that an adult spends surfing the Internet per day?

@snazzychazzy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok what are the answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. 49.1 minutes to 59.3 minutes B. 50.3 minutes to 58.1 minutes C. 54.2 minutes to 58.1 minutes D. 54.2 minutes to 59.3 minutes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmmm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What makes you say C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Openstudy is to help with the question not to give answers from the code of conduct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if they deviate from the computer for 14 minutes so subtract 54.2-14 and tell me what you get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait hang on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, its a because its 7 minutes in front of the number and after the number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what still make you say A are you guessing or do you know how and can tell us because the code of conduct says to help with the problem not just give the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just told you because A.49.1 minutes to 59.3 minutes is 7 below 54.2 minutes and 7 above the number. do you understand?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but why would it be 7 minutes below and above the number?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

even read the code of conduct it says to explain and not to give the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because its 14 and you half it so then you add seven to 54.2 minutes and subtract to get the two answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

were does it say to half it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you know forget it im not explaining it again and its given , if you knew how to do the dang problem then you should know but w.e how about you help rather than just ask me ?? ok then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow i am just doing what the code of conduct said to do by helping people out by EXPLAINING

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok but i dont see you helping.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

bye

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did last question
