trying to learn electronics...is this a good start?

OpenStudy (kenljw):

Yes, I suggest you get the text for the course and read along with the lectures. Any difficulties you may have can be address by asking question on this site. As always you get as much out of this course as you put into it.

OpenStudy (pheng_vue3):

Cool. TY! Was not sure if I was going to get a response. I just got the Kindle version of the text. Good to see that it is aligned with the lecture. Plan on doing 1-2 lectures/chapters a week.

I saw some perquisites on the syllabus. I took calculus up to multi-variables, that was like 5 years ago though. Do you recommend taking differential equations and physics as in the pereqs? Or will I still be able to get by with minimal knowledge of these subjects?

OpenStudy (kenljw):

Generally you should be able to, it quite basic first leaning the language and using algebra. You should be able to freshen up your calculus skills as you go along, as for differential equations it a must for higher level EE.
