How do you simply ln (secƟ =) + ln (cosƟ)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@divu.mkr Can you help me with this question please? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sec x = 1/ cos x so ln sec x = ln 1/cosx =ln (cos)^-1 = -ln cos x i guess you are missing a negative sign from Left side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sorry but I have no idea what you just did there! :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

comfortable with sec x =1/cos x ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a property of trignometry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is there a website with all these properties?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://www.sosmath.com/trig/Trig5/trig5/trig5.html

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh I get it now. So I was supposed to do sectheta x costheta which is equal to 1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@divu.mkr Is that right and also, how do I work out what the restrictions are on x?
