OpenStudy (parissfrance09):

Will Medal the first one to answer If the radius of the circle above is 10 in, what is the area of the circle? A.400 sq in B.100 sq in C.10 sq in D.20 sq in

OpenStudy (parissfrance09):

OpenStudy (parissfrance09):

picture above

OpenStudy (janu16):

Ik the answer but its not in your answer choice

Nnesha (nnesha):

\[\huge\rm A = \pi r^2\] formula to find area ahem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

400

OpenStudy (janu16):

3.14•10^2

Nnesha (nnesha):

i guess you don't have to use pi

OpenStudy (parissfrance09):

is it 400??

Nnesha (nnesha):

\[A = \pi \times r \times r\] replace r by 10 and if you don't use pi value then answer is there

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

@parissfrance09 Are all answers supposed to have \(\pi\) in them but by copying the problem, it was left out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (parissfrance09):

leave pi out

Nnesha (nnesha):

okay so please try to type your question instead of copy paste and also its in coc ( CODE OF CONDUCT)

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

\(A = \pi r^2\) \(A = \pi \times (10 ~in.)^2\) \(A = 100 \pi ~in.^2\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is 400 because a diameter of 20(radius 10) would be at least 314

OpenStudy (parissfrance09):

ok??

OpenStudy (parissfrance09):

well thank you all for the help

Nnesha (nnesha):

np

OpenStudy (parissfrance09):

If the diameter of the circle above is 14 mm, what is the area of the circle? 49 pi mm2 7 pi mm2 196 pi mm2 14 pi mm2

Nnesha (nnesha):

i'm pretty sure i already gave u all formulas right use that and let me know what you get

OpenStudy (parissfrance09):

okay

Nnesha (nnesha):

:-)

Nnesha (nnesha):

use formula a = pi times r times r now for this question they gave ou diameter so radius is half of diameter so divide diameter by 2 the number you get that u suppose to substitute into r(radius)

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Find the radius by dividing the diameter by 2. Then multiply the radius by itself and by pi.

OpenStudy (parissfrance09):

Preston drew a blueprint of an additional room he is planning to add to his house. On the blueprint, 2 centimeters is equal to 4 feet in the actual room. If Preston wants the room to measure 12 feet by 16 feet, what are these dimensions on the blueprint? A.9 cm by 12 cm B.8 cm by 9 cm C.6 cm by 12 cm D.6 cm by 8 cm

Nnesha (nnesha):

all answer choices have pi so you don't have to multiply by pi

Nnesha (nnesha):

what is your answer for last one ?

OpenStudy (parissfrance09):

it went off took too long

Nnesha (nnesha):

what do you mean went off ??

OpenStudy (parissfrance09):

im homeschooled online classess

Nnesha (nnesha):

okay but you still have to know how to solve that if you are learning about this topic then i'm 100% that type of question going to be on your test

OpenStudy (parissfrance09):

okay

OpenStudy (parissfrance09):

and I found the answer to my other question it was D

Nnesha (nnesha):

If the diameter of the circle above is 14 mm, what is the area of the circle? 49 pi mm2 7 pi mm2 196 pi mm2 14 pi mm2 this one is D ??

OpenStudy (parissfrance09):

no the other one

OpenStudy (parissfrance09):

6 cm by 8cm

Nnesha (nnesha):
