If sin(x)=0.96 (pi/2 < x < pi), what is: sin(x/2), cos(x/2), and tan(x/2) Find each of the following under the given conditions. (Enter the exact answer as a fraction. Decimal answers will not be accepted. Your answer should not contain sin, cos, or tan.)

OK

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but wouldn't that be Quadrant 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If sin(x) = .96 arcsin(.96) = angle x angle x = 73.74 degrees.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

crashed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK, but the final answer needs to be a fraction like \[\frac{ 7 }{ 5\sqrt2 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anyways, pi = 180 degrees. pi/2 is 180/2 = 90 degrees. 2 pi = 360 degrees. So yeah, it's in qaud 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You could use the double angle/half angle forumla, but sice I used arcsin to find the angle, you just take the sign of half the angle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In quad two, sin/csc is positive.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can I get a fraction answer from the arcsin result? (That's what I need to know how to do)

@satellite73 can you help?

@Loser66 can you please help?
