Fan and Medal! What is the line of symmetry? y-axis x-axis x = p x = -p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

picture??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there isnt a picture @tylermcmullen23

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The Line of Symmetry varies depending on the picture or graph.|dw:1426086989100:dw| on this one, The line of symmetry is the X axis.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

agreed @YesThisIsDog

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Amen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there has to be one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wait i found an equation. But there isnt a picture y=((1)/(4p))x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah @Gabylovesyou

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sleepyjess

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anyone else say try c???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah you don't know try C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y=(1/4p)x^2\] is this what the equation looks like?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes @YesThisIsDog

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im not too sure that equation can be graphed the way you have it stated. If it is a parabola, then the line of symmetry would split it in half equally.|dw:1426087543625:dw| In this case drawn, the line of symmetry would be the y axis.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay well thank you @YesThisIsDog

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wish I able to help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you for trying @clirentmaster999

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i honestly havent seen an equation written like THAT to find a line of symmetry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

np
