\[-\frac{ 8 }{ 9 }+\frac{ 2 }{ 3 }\]
hey i can help and we have the same name my name is Nadia as well

www.symbolab.com
oh nice hehe @pinklion23 josephine is a pretty name too :)
okay well the answer is -2/9 if that is one of your choises
when adding fractions you need to get the same denominator to do this you list numbers in the 9 times table list numbers in the 3 times table as they are the denominators to see the first number that is in both times tables this will tell you how many times it took in the 9times table to get this value and how many times it took in the 3 times table for example in your case you have 9,18,27,36,45 3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27,30 first number that they share in the times table is 27 in the 9 times table it took 3x9 to get 27 so we multiply top and bottom of our fraction with denominator 9 by 3 to get \[\frac{ -8(3) }{ 9(3) }\] in the 3 times table it took 9x3 to get 27 so we multiply top and bottom of our fraction with denominator 3 by 9 to get \[\frac{ 2(9) }{ 3(9) }\]
thank you guys so much !!!:D i wish i could give u all medals
this gives \[\frac{ -24 }{ 27 } + \frac{ 18 }{ 27 }\]
theny ou can just add the terms \[\frac{ -24+18 }{ 27 }\]
simplify all then add
