p: I do my schoolwork early, q: I get my allowance faster How would the converse read? See attached chart. @BasilisHolmes33

I am trying to figure out that part.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would be ''I get my allowance faster, If i do my schoolwork early'' ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Directrix

Directrix (directrix):

Converse of p -->q is this: q--->P q: I get my allowance faster p: I do my schoolwork early So, write the converse as: If I want to get my allowance faster, then I do my schoolwork early.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm. I was just little bit off there.

Directrix (directrix):

p: I do my schoolwork early q: I get my allowance faster The contrapositive of p --> q is this: ~q --> ~p ~q: I do not get my allowance faster ~p: I do not do my schoolwork early

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh.. So you just add the word not?

Directrix (directrix):

Yes. That is what the ~ symbol means. But, you still have to write the contrapositive. If I do not get my allowance faster, then I did not do my schoolwork early.
