Geometry question! Help please. What are the three types of isometric transformations? A. reflection, rotation, translation B. reflection, rotation, dilation C. reflection, dilation, translation D. dilation, rotation, translation

OpenStudy (superman499):

what do u think it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D. but i have really no clue

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which 3 do not change the size of the figure

OpenStudy (superman499):

no direct anwsers @tylermcmullen23

OpenStudy (superman499):

can u narrow it down for me @casscasspizza

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well its obviously not D thank you tyler lol but a dilation is a transformation in which each point moves so its not that

OpenStudy (superman499):

Well ill tell u what i think it is i think its B and look up what "isometric transformations" is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@casscasspizza A dilation is when an image is either enlarged or "shrinked", I think that by a transformation that each point moves you meant Translation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Dilation is not an isometric transformation because iso- means equal measure and a dilation stretches or shrinks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you reflect some image, it does not change its measures

OpenStudy (anonymous):

same thing for rotation and translation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes thank you!
