GEOMETRY HELP PLEASE!!! JUST AN ANSWER CHECK. WILL FAN+MEDAL

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

Point P is located at (−2, 7), and point R is located at (1, 0). Find the y value for the point Q that is located two over three the distance from point P to point R. 4.9 4.7 2.5 >>>2.3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

P = (-2, 7) and R = (1, 0) A point that is 2/3 of the distance PR from P will be at: -2 + (1-(-2)) * 2/3 , 7 + (0-7) * 2/3 They are asking only for the y-coordinate. We just need to calculate: 7 + (0-7) * 2/3 = 7 - 14/3 = (21 - 14) / 3 = 7/3 = 2.3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so yes you are right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@rosebud4612flvs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

NP

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have a couple others too; can you help with those?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Using the image below, find the y value for the point that divides the line segment CD into a ratio of 4:1. Segment CD is shown. C is at 9, 6 and D is at 5, 1. 2 6.2 3 2.8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think the answer is 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes one sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes you are right its 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :) I have two more

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k

Find the perimeter of the image below: Figure ABCDE is shown. A is at 2, 0. B is at negative 4, 5. C is at 4, 10. D is at 8, 7. E is at 4, 5 32.1 units 35. 8 units 37.6 units 39.2 units

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got stuck on this one; I think the answer is 37.6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know how to find the perimeter?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, you add all the sides together

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and you did that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you did than your right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer was mostly an educated guess :/ i didnt really know what to do. but it's correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm stuck like you on this one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well just guess on that one and lets move on.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ah gotcha... ok, here's the last one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the area of the image below: Figure ABCDE is shown. A is at 6, 0. B is at negative 4, 5. C is at 2, 5. D is at 2, 9. E is at 6, 9. 41 square units 44 square units 52 square units 56 square units

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its 44

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Agl202

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Conqueror @ganeshie8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*sigh*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@JohnKnows

OpenStudy (anonymous):

52

OpenStudy (anonymous):

howd you get 52?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

52 was wrong :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

found an answer but can you post anther question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i wan't done *facepalm*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what was it?
