Question 1. Why is a ribosome also considered to be an enzyme? a. The rRNA translates tRNA into protein. b. The protein portion is capable of performing rRNA functions. c. The ribosome acts to speed up chemical reactions. d. A ribosome contains three distinct tRNA binding sites. I know its not b.
rRNA translates mRNA into proteins not tRNA so its not a
good that you know this much :D the question has a trick it uses 'ribosome' to confuse you what the question is originally asking is what is the function of enzyme? what does enzyme do to the reaction?
thats the original question and ribosome is used as one of the examples of type of enzymes since we have peptide enzymes and ribosomal enzymes
It is also, in a very indirect way, to also get the fact that not all enzymes are proteins out there. The vast majority of enzymes are proteins.
yep yep @mrdoldum very nice but hell-like lol, been through thousands of these indirect brain killing questions (this one's fine tho) +_+
