I'm having a little bit of trouble with this problem can someone help me! (2x^3 + 15x^2 - 26x + 9)/ (2x - 1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright, this is a basic polynomial, I am actually glad you asked this, because your question answered mine. But look at my next answer for the response.

OK, so here's the loadout:|dw:1426199510890:dw|

Anyways, now you simplify the equation on the right side of the division sign...|dw:1426199776460:dw|

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmmmm what section is this meant to cover? are you doing "remainder theorem" or ... something else?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is how I was taught to do it\[\frac{ 2x^3-15x^2-26x+9 }{ 2x-1 }\] and just do long division

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah but my way was supposed to be shorter... the only problem is that I made a mistake and had to do it step by step in affect
