What obstacles did John F. Kennedy overcome in order to prove his credibility to the American people at his time in history?
Oh btw there aren't any answer choices.
"John F. Kennedy was tormented by ill health for his entire life. Robert Dallek claimed it was the "greatest enemy" of the image he hoped to portray. He suffered from Addison's disease and acute back problems, as a result of an American football injury. This problem was aggravated by the PT-109 boat wreck while on military service. His back pains were not helped by injecting steroids, which he had been administered to him since the 1940's, which had no long-term benefits. Since the campaign of 1960, Kennedy had been relying on the help of Dr. Max Jacobson who supplied him with amphetamines to combat fatigue and depression. Kennedy's physical problems were enough to destroy his political career. However, they had a significant effect on his determination. Close friends testified after his death that they knew of, but never heard Kennedy complain about, his physical state. Kennedy believed these physical issues represented challenges he had to overcome in order to prove his worth. He never made an attempt to fully understand his conditions and fought to overcome them throughout his youth and his career." @EclipsedStar :)
