I have this question I need help with, and yes I did do the reading, I just need some help, I will post a screenshot of the question below(:

OpenStudy (liv1234):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, what do you think? :)

OpenStudy (liv1234):

I don't think it's C, because it says nothing about her not wanting to lose anything, so I think we can eliminate that one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep! So that leaves us with A and B. Which one makes more sense?

OpenStudy (liv1234):

And it's not D either because it didn't mention anything about her angering her husband?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Correct./

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know the background of this story, which I need to best understand the story. But using only the passage, I would guess A. It's the only one that makes sense. Plus it mentions the water lilies being pushed along, with no way to remain rooted, and that is an allusion to her own security.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And I don't think it mentions anything about a maid.

OpenStudy (liv1234):

That's what I was honestly just thinking, I just went back to reread the passage, and I never saw anything about a maid, nothing about jewelry or gifts, or about fearing for safety.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is A

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Can someone help me with one more question please?

OpenStudy (liv1234):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, what do you think is the right answer? :)

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Not sure, maybe B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That seems to be the main theme of the poem, so I would say yes :)

OpenStudy (liv1234):

@AliSurfCat what do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe it is A because the song name is "Song of Becoming" so it matches with the answer... do you see where I am going?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's a good point, I guess it could be A or B

OpenStudy (liv1234):

I'm not sure :/ but, yes i do understand where you are going. But, that last line "great heroes in history" it makes me think that they are grown up, but then again they could be dreaming of the future

OpenStudy (anonymous):

True. which makes you think it s about childhood

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*it's

OpenStudy (liv1234):

I'm very confused with this. I think I'll reread it again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Because, when I read it and see "They're only boys, who used to frolic and play" or "pretending to be great heroes in history" it makes me think they are thinking of the past and not the future

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am still picking A but let me double check

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Okay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in the first sentence it says they're what they are meaning was they are not they were so it is not the past

OpenStudy (liv1234):

So, it is A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes can you fan and medal please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you need any other help @Liv1234

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Not right now, but if I do, I'll let you know, thank you(:
