How to show : if gcd (a1,a2,a3) =1 and gcd(b1,b2,b3) =1, then gcd(a1b1,a2b2,a3b3)=1? Please, help

OpenStudy (loser66):

@ikram002p

OpenStudy (rational):

counter example : (3, 4, 4) = 1 (4, 3, 3) = 1 however (3*4, 4*3, 4*3) = 12

OpenStudy (kainui):

Is there more information, since I don't think this is actually true.

OpenStudy (kainui):

Yeah... well beat me to it haha.

OpenStudy (loser66):

Ok, the problem is if f(x) , g(x) are primitive, show that f(x)*g(x) is primitive also

OpenStudy (loser66):

and primitive mean: gcd(coefficients )=1

OpenStudy (loser66):

I got it, :) thanks anyway
