OpenStudy (matt101):

They are the same. The only way you can draw tetrafluoroethene is as 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroeth-1-ene.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since the compound has only 2 carbons, all the bonds are for Fluorine occupying all of the sides, you can say Tetrafluoro Ethene.

OpenStudy (thadyoung):

You can just call it tetrafluoroethene. the suffix already tells you its an ethyl with a double bond. and you know you can have max 4 connecting groups, since its sp\(^2\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok and another is how is this |dw:1426451164698:dw| a primary alcohol? i thought that a carbon must be attached to the C-OH group in order to be primary secondary etc like isnt this primary alcohol |dw:1426451228761:dw|
