The amount of money an electrician charges when visiting a home to make a repair is shown by the linear equation c = 120 + 65h, where c is the amount the electrician charges and h is the number of hours spent at the home.
How much does the electrician charge when h = 2.5?

OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
You can put 2.5 into the equation for h and then just solve
OpenStudy (phi):
write down the equation
c = 120 + 65h
erase the h and put in 2.5 in its place (and remember 65h means 65 times h)
then simplify (remember order of operations... multiply first)
OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
c = 120 + 65 (2.5)

so its 185 @Ashes.boom

if you want you can check your work by subtracting 120 and then dividing by 2.5
