What are the shifts for the graph of (x) = (1/x+5) -4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-4?

OpenStudy (coconutjj):

The base equation is f(x) = (1/x).

I think I remember going over that. The other number on bottom isn't as big of a deal, but I don't remember why

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But it is just asking for shifts in the graph, so it would be -4 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, nevermind I remember now. That's just where the graph is set at, the +5 and -4 just determines where the graph ends up, correct? So its shifts would be +5 up the y axis and -4 on the x axis? Or am I totally off? Sorry, math is not my best subject.
