What four cells does Meiosis make?
what do u think it is
@MiaLashae
Mitosis produces two diploid cells and meiosis produces four haploid cells in humans, speaking at the very least. Some other species of animals (etc.) do not have a diploid number of chromosomes.
The four cells that mitosis makes are daughter cells, haploid cells, parents cells
Could the answer you're looking for be gametes? In humans, meiosis is used to produce the reproductive cells, or gametes (sperm in males and ova in females). Meiosis is important because, as others have mentioned, the four cells that are produced are haploid (contain half the normal number of chromosomes). This way, when a sperm fertilizes an ovum and their genetic material merge into one cell, you end up with a diploid cell (containing the normal number of chromosomes). Meiosis prevents each new generation from gaining twice as many chromosomes as they should have.
