OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is m<PLM? m<PLM = ___ Degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (jordan123321):

what do you think

OpenStudy (igreen):

I think they add up to 180 degrees. 5k + 20 + 3k + 16 = 180 Solve for 'k', then plug it in for angle OLN, which is the same as angle PLM.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Honestly I still am confused. @iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

5k + 20 + 3k + 16 = 180 Solve for 'k', first combine like terms. 5k + 3k = ? 20 + 16 = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8k, 36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(Correct me if im wrong please)

OpenStudy (igreen):

Correct.

OpenStudy (igreen):

So we have: 8k + 36 = 180 Subtract 36 to both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8k = 144 (its what i came up with)

OpenStudy (igreen):

Correct, now divide 8 to both sides.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k = 18

OpenStudy (igreen):

Correct, now plug in 18 for 'k' in 5k + 20

OpenStudy (igreen):

5k + 20 = Angle PLM

OpenStudy (igreen):

5(18) + 20 Simplify @Master_Chief_117

OpenStudy (anonymous):

90 + 20 = 110

OpenStudy (igreen):

Correct, that's our answer.
