how do I find the profit or loss

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For example if my quantity is 2, price is 400, total revenue is 800, marginal revenue is 391, total cost s 940, marginal cost is 260, how do i find the profit or loss?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

people on this site don't really help. I really just need a head start and that's all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so the original price, say its 420. Itake 410-420=-10 Where do i go from there?

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

ok so,imagine this i own a company and i make t-shirts , i have 10,000 to use . so in my bank account i have a solid 10,000, now if i want to orded 3,000 blank tshirts, in total al of that cost 2,000$. now im down to 8,000$ right? so now i need to print these t-pellets so i buy 3 printing machies, those in total cost me a good 5,000$now im down to 3,000$ so now my bank account has 3,000

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

so if i start selling these shirts, for example to walmart then walmart will buy in bulk so maybe 100 at a time, and i charge the 500$ for a bulk so if they want 20 bulks of shirts i just made 10,000, my original funding

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

then some, i hope this helped

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

so then i would now have a roughly $13,000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

give me a moment

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay I typed in 410 but i meant 400. I have a bunch i have to solve. anyways. So for the example up top tat I typed, 420-400=-20 -20/800 Which is the total revenue, I get -0.025 times tat by 100 to get the percentage I get -2.5% meaning there is a loss of -2.5%?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and if i dont get a negative it means there is a profit?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but with the cost always being lowered y 10 which each added quantity I will always have a negative...... how do i know when i make a profit instead of a loss????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

with, not which, by not y

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

give me one quick second

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

ok 1. did you mean 420-400= 20 or 400-420=-20?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its okay i think i understand, thanks anways

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

ok well i hope u succeed :D
